National parks

Upper Ussuri National Park

Middle Ussuri National Park

Kema-Amga National Park

National parks are essentially nature protection, ecoeducational and research institutions. Their territories include na
tural complexes and facilities of special ecological, historical and esthetical value, and are designed for nature protection, scientific, educational and cultural purposes, as well as for controlled tourism.

Today there are no active national parks on the territory of Primorye. At the same time, however, a Russian Government order (M572-p dated April 23, 1994) envisages the creation of three national parks here, viz. - The Upper Ussuri National Park, The Middle Ussuri National Park,  and The Kema-Amga National Park.
This order embodies the recommendations of the Long-Term Program for Nature Protection and Rational Utilization of the Natural Resources of Primorye till the year 2005.
