Fall in Primorye is warm, dry, clear and quiet. Air temperatures drop slowly. Local residents usually call this time of the year Уthe golden Far Eastern fallФ. Warmth persists particularly long in coastal areas, where fall is the best time of the year. From the middle of September, low night temperatures transform the forest, dressing broadleaf and mixed forests in their autumnal colorful attire. In early October, fall of the leaf is in full swing. Abrupt cooling is observed in the first half of November in the south of Primorye, and in late October in the north.
